St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund

Shannon Currier, Director of Philanthropy stopped by for an interview at the North American Supply Chain Summit with Dooner and the Dude at What the Truck? St Christopher Truckers Relief Fund is a non-faith based 501C charity with a 12-year track record of helping drivers on a temporary basis to pay for critical expenses while they are recovering from an injury or illness. To receive funds, drivers must fill out an 8-page application that includes a release for medical information, employment and income verification to establish a financial need. After approval, bills are paid directly to providers for things like rent or mortgage, utilities truck payments and insurance. This relieves stress on drivers and makes Truckers Relief Fund accountable to our donors. "We know where every penny goes, and what it is for, and we only pay for necessities" said Shannon.

Fund raising activities have been severely curtailed this year as needs have grown and trade shows have been cancelled for in-person visits so Shannon made an appeal for contributions. We all work together to make the trucking industry strong. If you can help, the website is www.truckerfund.org
